What we usually do is prepare a fresh batch of the pearls- enough to last us for a few days, wrap them in small batches in plastic wrap and freeze them. They'll be perfectly fine for a long, long time. Whenever you're ready to put them in your tea, just microwave them! I hope this helps! :3
